Musicians - Get Signed
We are always ready to add new bands to the MYB Playlist. If your band is ready to go but hasn't registered yet, CLICK HERE
Journalist / Reviewer
This role involves reviewing the gigs for the website. Imagine you're a journo for the NME - well, you might be one day if you hone your skills here. We'd like the website to contain lots of reviews of the bands and maybe some interviews with them too. It's a great way to practise creative writing skills and very rewarding to see your words posted on the internet for all the world to see.
Photographer
Most of the bands playing MYB need publicity photographs. These will be used on the website, but also in newspapers, magazines and posters. If you're handy with a camera and know how to email attachments you can probably do the job.
Designers
Music and art have always gone hand in hand. If you've got a creative streak, why not put it to good use and build your portfolio in a very public way? We need people to design posters, backdrops, CD covers and all sorts of other great stuff. Go on, you know you want to.
Publicity Officers
Think you might have a future in Marketing? Start here. We are looking to build a network of publicity officers to distribute fliers throughout the borough. You'll take responsibility for your own patch - maybe your own school and a couple of other outlets. Fliers are sent out to you every six weeks or so. You feedback on opportunities and barriers etc.
Lighting Technician
Feeling light headed? Know a gel from a gal? If you've got a bit of an aptitude for technical stuff you could make a huge impact on the appearance of stage lighting at MYB events. The bands will love you for it...Next stop the MEN Arena...
MCs
Wannabe the next Zane Lowe, Colin and Edith, Davina McColl or Dermot O'Leary? Is a bit of your personality still looking for a way to express itself? Fancy taking to the stage to introduce MYB events? Want to do some stand-up? Nnnnnervous..but excited at the prospect? Feel the fear and do it anyway!
